The Sonder
A poem on walking the shore in winter.
steady sonder soothing same step by step we walk in hand the ice and water, hardened sand all welcome us to see miles of waves and miles of sky all is hushed on quiet land the baby sleeping, you and I we three have come together
the shore has froze, the shore is swept I see the tide and understand the season's promise always kept this is the winter harvest here to wander, here to stay a piece of driftwood planted stands a family newly makes their way always treading forward
